Hi,
I have just acquired a Phonic Max Power Amp - I am trying to connect it up to my PC.
The amp has an input sensitivity of 1.23V (+4dBu).
My soundcard (Creative Audigy SE) has a signal-to-noise ratio of 100db (2V)
When I connect the soundcard to the amp via a 3.5mm Jack to 1/4 Jack cable - I get a very faint, distorted, sound but nothing more.
I guess I need a mixer to add some gain to the signal but it should work without one shouldn't it?
If not, can someone please explain why. Although not completely new to the AV scene, this is my first experience with a power amp
If it makes any difference the speakers are 2 x Carlsbro Delta 15s
Thanks
